Rolwaling Valley is situated between the Everest and Langtang regions. Rolwaning Valley is the home of famous peaks such as Mt. Ghauri Shankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa, and many others. Rolwaling is the East-West Valley below Gauri Shankar (7145m) and just south of Tibetan Border. Rolwaling Valley is also known as one of the seven hidden valleys in the Himalayas. Technical mountaineering skills and equipment are required for this incredible adventure.The trek to Rolwaling, west of Everest and near the Tibetan border offers fascinating experience. The Rolwaling Trekking involves crossing of high pass Trashi Labtsa (5,755m) and the climbing of Parcharmo (6,273m) and it is a must to equip oneself with mountaineering gear (to be brought by the trekkers). The Rolwaling, Khumbu trek provides an experience of the remoteness, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local cultures. The Rolwaling trek requires good walking experience and good physical fitness. Na Gaun, which is only the summer settlement, is the highest altitude reached in the trek.

Detail Itinerary of Arun Valley Trekking
  • Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu at (1’365m. 4’478ft.)
    It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
  • Day 02: City sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
    Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, its two major neighboring cities bear immense historical, cultural and religious significances.
  • Day 03: Kathmandu – Barabise at (8'19m. 2'687ft.) about 5 hours by bus
    This day starts with a pleasant drive along the Arniko highway to Tibet border, passing through some excellent views along the way. We camp for the night at beside the Sun Koshi River.
  • Day 04: Barabise - Kabre at (1'605m. 5'265ft.) about 6 hours Trek
    Leaving Kabre and and start with a steep climb behind the town of Barabise and through some rice and mustard fields. After a couple of hours, and we come to a ridge, and will be greeted by a magnificent view down the Sun Koshi river.
  • Day 05: Kabre - Dolongsa at ( 1'945mm. 6'381ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    Today we climbing passing through small settlements and the Rhododendron forest then comes our camp side, and we can also be encounter wild birds in this area and a marvelous beauty of this place will certainly touch your heart.
  • Day 06: Dolongsa to Bigu Gompa at (2'310m. 7'578ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    The day begins with a very steep climb to the pass with breathtaking views of the Mountains, including the Mt.Everest. Than we descend through a splendid forest to the lone monastery of Bigu Gompa.
  • Day 07: Bigu Gompa - Chilangka at (1'923m) about 8 hours Trek
    From Big Gompa, we have to descend to Samling Khola observing the exotic flora on the way before our climb to Chilangka.
  • Day 08: Chailangka - Kulong at (1'890m. 6'200ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    Leaving kalong proceed our trek with a few ups and downs and with some magnificent views of Gaurishanker Himal at (7'145m. 23'441ft.)
  • Day 09: Kulong - Shalu at (1'500m. 4'921ft.) about 6 hours Trek
    This day is considered as a pleasant and easy trekking day with mostly down hill to Bhote Koshi and to the village of Jagat than after it is an easy walk upstream towards our campsite at Salu.
  • Day 10: Shalu - Simigaon at (2'100m. 6'889ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    The day starts with an easy walk along the river until we cross Bhote Koshi. Afterwards, it is a very steep climb to Simigaon and climb up to the Gompa.
  • Day 11: Simigaon - Forest Camp at (2'800m. 9'186ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    After a short steep climb, the trek enters a beautiful mixed forest of different vegetation including Rhododendron as you climb higher. After descending for some period of time, you will then reach our campsite.
  • Day 12:/-13: Forest Camp to Beding at (3'694m. 12'119ft.) about 8 hours Trek
    After breakfast we will continue climb through forest before entering the more open Rolwaling Valley at Ramdung and Beding, the largest and beautiful settlement in the Rolwaling Valley.
  • Day 14: Beding - Na at (4'100m. 13'451ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    Exploring the heart touching beauty, you will continue upwards along the valley through Rhododendrons to the summer settlement of Na.
  • Day 15: Na - Forest Camp at (2'800m. 9'186ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    We return same way back to the beautiful campsite of Forest Camp.
  • Day 16: Forest Camp - Chetchet at (1'500m. 4'921ft.) about 6 hours Trek
    Today we take a different route down the forest to Simigaoun before the steep descents down to the Bhote Koshi River.
  • Day 17: Chetchet - Chetre at (1'100m. 3'608ft.) about 6 hours Trek
    Leaving chetchet we than Pass through some interesting villages of medieval manifestation and many photographic possibilities you will reach Chetre.
  • Day 18: Chetre - Dolakha at (950m. 3'116ft.) about 6 hours Trek
    Today we continue trek passing along the valley which has now become the Tamba Kosi. Passing through some very interesting forest, you will reach Dolakaha.
  • Day 19: Dolakha - Charikot at (1'200m. 3'937ft.) about 7 hours Trek
    A steep climb brings to Charikot.
  • Day 20: Charikot - Kathmandu at (1'365m. 4'478ft) about 6 houts bus journeys.
    From Charikot we drive back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 21: Departure Kathmandu
    Our support teams wiiil takes you to the international airport for flight back home.
